What to know about lumber sizes
Lumber sizes are random, because raw hardwood logs come in various widths and lengths. The width and lengths depend on the actual tree and they are different with each specie. So, sawmill cut the logs in such a way that provides the highest yield and that’s why raw lumber is not sized to any standardized dimension.
Usually sawmill cut lumbers at
25mm / 50mm Thickness x 150mm Width x 2100mm Length
Contact us if other sizes are needed, e.g. 200mm Width or 2100 Length up.
Lumber is a perfect material to make your table top with multiple lumber simply glued together to achieve the desired sizes.
The right photo is one of example that show how to arrange the lumber for a L-shape table top.
